Making Your Picture Book!
This is the one day that people rush to shopping malls only to fight over parking spots, wait in long lines, and buy stuff that they really don't need.
This year, do something different!
Instead of wasting time and spending money on things you don't need, work toward achieving your creative dreams.
Spend the day developing your craft with our award-winning authors and illustrators, as well as an editor from Chronicle Books who's worked with even more award winners. Learn from some of the best in the children's book industry.
Make some “Aha!” moments, and work towards achieving your publishing goals.
Best of all, you'll help us donate books to kids, and you'll support two important diversity initiatives in children's books. We're all donating our time, so 100% of the proceeds will go to First Book and We Need Diverse Books.

Last year, we raised over $20,000 for First Book and We Need Diverse Books!
Our mission is simple: We want to transform Black Friday, one of the most painfully materialistic days of the year, into a day of learning and a day of GIVING.
So put that turkey leg down and join us! I promise that you'll be glad you did. 🙂
Hurry, this special $20 offer won't last long!!
WARNING: There will be a limited number of seats available, and we have a large number of people interested in this bootcamp, so please be sure to show up 5 minutes early. We don't want you to get locked out!
There are a finite number spots available, and over 25,00 people on our email list, so reserve your spot right now.
When the timer hits 00:00:00, this special bootcamp will be gone forever.
WHY WE'RE DOING THIS
1. We're storytellers who share our craft.
Our mission at Storyteller Academy is to help aspiring storytellers learn the art of storytelling and achieve their publishing goals. We share our creative processes with you! After Black Friday Bootcamp, you'll be closer to achieving your storytelling goals, which means we'll be closer to achieving our mission.
2. We give books and change lives!
As always, we will be donating 100% of the registration fees from this bootcamp to two very special non-profit organizations.
First Book provides access to children's books in low-income communities.
We Need Diverse Books is committed to increasing diversity in children's books. We'll be donating funds to support their diversity initiatives.
Our goal is to raise $25,000, and with your help, I'm confident we'll get there.
3. We all have a lot to be thankful for this year.
This has been a great year, so we're happy to share what's working for us as a sincere gesture of gratitude and appreciation.
Our Goal Is to Donate $25,000
Yep, you read it that right. This year, Storyteller Academy's goal is to DONATE $25,000 to give books to children low-income communities and support diversity in children's books.
Listen, I know donating $25,000 is a BIG goal, and I'm going to need ALL the help I can get to reach it.
I really, REALLY want to reach that goal.
I want to reach this goal to give kids who don't have a picture book their very FIRST BOOK.
I want to reach this goal to help help more diverse authors reach their goals through We Need Diverse Books.
And lastly, we want to reach this goal for YOU.
Yes, for YOU!
We might well fall short of our number (I don't plan on it, but it's definitely a possibility). But at the end of the day, we'll raise a lot of money simply because we set an ambitious goal and we made it public.
Now it's your turn.
I want you to set an “uncomfortably creative” goal for 2020!
I want you to write down your goal, tell your family, your friends, and your social media following what your goal is.
Next, ask yourself one simple question every single day until you hit that goal.
“What action am I taking toward achieving my goal?”
I don't want you to go it alone. I want to help you reach your goals (even if you don't know them yet).
So join us at Black Friday Bootcamp, and I'll walk you through how to have the best creative year ever in 2020.
Your “ticket” will cost you just $20.
